Where are you located?

On the Washington Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park, Summit Point, WV. 

Note: There are 2 gates (Main and Shenandoah), please call 1-800-973-1136 if both  gates appear closed during open hours.

How does this work?

SPK creates “Arrive and Drive Excitement” by providing everything you need. (Kart, Helmet, Driving Suit, safety briefing, and an outdoor race track). You provide photo ID, Closed toe shoes, and $25. Simple.

Can I bring my own gear ?

Yes. SPK may disapprove personal equipment is deemed unsafe.

What are your hours?

Friday 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday Noon – 10:00pm
Sunday Noon – 9:00pm

All other times by appointment.

How long is the track?

The course is a little over ½ mile with 17 turns. It’s no 

How long is a session?

A session is 11 minutes long. This works out to about 10 laps depending on how fast you are.

Do you have to be a member?

No, but the best deal is to become a member. Non-members can only pay full price for Karting and do not have access to special events. Non-members pay $25 per session. Members can pay as little as $10 when buying in bulk. Members are also welcome to join our Karting league with no experience necessary.

Membership?

SPK membership is the best way to start. For $40 you get an SPK card, a t-shirt, one karting credit, and discount pricing for a full year. Many programs at SPK require membership. Special packages also require Membership.

What is a credit?

Members purchase ‘credits’ to use for karting. One credit is good for one “session” of Karting. Credit cost varies from $23 to as little as $10 each when purchased in bulk. Much like shopping at Costco or other wholesale stores.

Are credits transferable to other members?

No.

Do you offer all day Karting?

Yes. We offer ‘KTP’ ( Kart ‘Til you Puke ). This is nearly unlimited Karting for $120. Membership is required. This is available during Arrive and Drive hours. This program is subject to change and availability. This is available for purchase as a gift and is very popular.

I want to bring out a group, how many do I need?

SPK can accomodate groups/partys/events from 8 to 100+. We offer private rentals and group reservations.

  • Reservations outside normal hours require a minimum 8 participants.
  • Reservations are typically for a “Mini GP” but open Karting is also available.

SPK Youth FAQ

What are the age limits for kids?

16 and up are classed as adults, under 16 is ‘Youth’.  Anyone under 16 must go through a Karting School either with SPK or AllsportsGP. Youth participants will ride our Youth Kart, in a youth only session.

Note: Participants Age 15 are eligible to enter adult sessions and use the RX7. We must see proof of age, we reserve the right to pull a Youth participant out of an adult session for their safety.

Is a racing suit required, if so, do you supply them?

No, A jacket, pants and gloves are also acceptable. Something similar to jean jacket and pants simply for abrasion protection. SPK does have a limited supply of neck brace/chest protectors (first come first served).

What time is check-in for schools and league events?

Typically a minimum of 30 minutes prior to an event. Example: For a 10am start, please arrive at 9:30am.
